Letter from the Author #94: Dreams keep growing

Dear family of XaviVerso fans, the year is ending and at the beginning of the Christmas holidays I am writing to you again to update you on all the news of my literary universe. We close this 2025 with two books published in English, around 190,000 readers worldwide, with Mark of Odin: The Awakening repeating Top 1’s in the rankings and with new stories that continue to make this saga grow and a new novel on the way.

This year has been very intense personally and professionally, being halfway between Seville and Hanoi. Maintaining this duality of living at two ends of the world is something incredible, a dream for many, but also crazy. I feel very fortunate to be able to fight in my greatest passions: books, video games and Food & Beverage. In the end, for me there is no greater satisfaction than being able to offer quality entertainment to others.

As I already mentioned, this year one of my main tasks has been to publish the video game Trolls vs Vikings: Reborn and support the presentation of what will be our next title in Megapop Games, Life Below. In June, we released its first free demo, and more than 30,000 players have already added it to their wishlist on Steam. The months I have been in Vietnam have helped me to support the growth of Barbaros Group, with the Barbaros restaurant in Hanoi at the helm, which just in November celebrated its second anniversary. This is a project that makes me very happy and with which we are creating something really special together with an incredible team. Not only in our establishment, but through external events, especially with many Spanish-American embassies in Vietnam.

Mark of Odin Continues to Grow

Despite being so busy, I am proud to have managed to complete the incredible milestone of having all my books translated and published into English. This year we have been able to share ‘Mark of Odin: Road to Valhalla and Ragnarok’. It has been a titanic task due to the length of each of these novels, but it has been worth it. This achievement will allow us to continue to grow and aspire to translate the books into additional languages by 2026.

In addition, I have just published ‘Prisoner of Fate‘ which, with 48 pages, is the second bonus chapter of ‘Mark of Odin: Ragnarok’. With the style of a legal thriller, it presents a very relevant story for fans of the saga for the next book and that allows to give more context to the consequences of the end of Ragnarok. As if that were not enough, I am already immersed in the production of the third and final bonus chapter, ‘The Chosen One’s Crusade’. This story will take up the pure and hard action, at a level of intensity and gore like I have not shown to date, which I hope will make everyone marked by Odin vibrate. I hope to complete the production of its final draft this Christmas and you can expect to read it in June 2026.

In Rare Earths

My main priority for the beginning of 2026 is going to try to finish the final manuscript of ‘In Rare Earths’. The truth is that I have set myself a very ambitious challenge, which I hope to be able to meet. I have set out to beat my personal record to produce the final draft in no more than a month. I can’t give a real estimate of pages yet, but I think that it will be at least over 400. Let’s remember that ‘Yes, They Will Pass!’ I completed in 10 days (200 pages), ‘The Stone Lotus’ in five weeks (358 pages) and ‘Mark of Odin: Ragnarok’ in two and a half months (630 pages).

If I can meet these expectations, you can expect us to launch an early preorder campaign at the end of January, beginning of February, for 3-4 weeks. With it we will offer an exclusive numbered and nominative edition, with extras, my personalized signatures and a special price of ‘In Rare Earths’. In addition, we may offer packs and special offers with the rest of the books in the same XaviVerso 2nd Line (The Stone Lotus and Yes, They Will Pass), as well as those of Mark of Odin saga.

With all this, the idea would be to be able to send all these books sometime in the first half of March. My margin is quite limited since, at the end of March, at the latest, I have to return to Vietnam again. Will I be able to achieve this madness that I have set out to do? I really want to share this new thriller and that you can see Carla Romero return again with a lot of action in a most exciting plot that has a strong bond with what is happening in the world and that I think can happen in the near future, will I get it right again as much as with ‘Yes, they will pass!’?

Merry Christmas and New Year 2026

I take this opportunity to wish you all happy Christmas holidays and a more than prosperous New Year 2026. I know that many of you will be like me and my friends, that when we talk about the world, everything seems to be going wrong. It is recurrent for me to say that anyone would say that we live in a dystopian simulation. Despite this, I do not stop seeing examples of people who fight, who resist and who do not lose hope of achieving their happiness. I myself often feel that I am on a long journey through the desert, but I always see around me many hands that do not stop pushing me.  I sincerely hope that you too will be able to find strength in your moments of weakness. Enjoy these days of family and friends’ gatherings. Let us laugh hard to tear through the darkness that does not cease to try to darken our horizon.
